Polina Parfenenko

Polina Parfenenko is a Russian track and field athlete, who competes in high jump and combined events. Her personal best in heptathlon is 5086 points and in pentathlon is 3910 points, while in high jump her personal best is 1.86m outdoors and 1.91m indoors. She is a national indoor bronze medalist in the high jump.

Polina Parfenenko was born on March 14, 2003 in Russia. She started in sports as a kid but later moved to athletics. She is the Russian U20 champion in the heptathlon.

Polina Parfenenko started her competitive career in 2019, winning the bronze at the Russian U18 Indoor Championships in the high jump with 1.82m, as well as the silver at the All Russian Combined Events U18 Competition in pentathlon with 3656 points.

In 2020, Polina Parfenenko won the gold at the Russian U18 Indoor Championships, Irkutsk Regional U18 Indoor Championships, and Moskva High Jump Cup in the high jump, improving her personal best to 1.86m. In the pentathlon, she earned the gold at the All Russian Combined Events U18 Competition.

Polina Parfenenko debuted in a senior national championship in 2021, competing at the Cheboksary Russian Championships in the high jump, but finished 7th. In the event she won the silver medals at the Krasnodar All-Russian U20 Competition, Chelyabinsk Russian U23 Championships, Spartakiada in Cheboksary, and Irkutsk Regional U20 Indoor Championships. Polina Parfenenko earned the gold at the Smolensk Russian U20 Indoor Combined Events Championships and Kemerovo All Russian Combined Events U20 Competition in the pentathlon, as well as the silver at the Spartakiada in Cheboksary and Sochi Russian U20 CE Team Championships in the heptathlon.

In 2022, Polina Parfenenko continue being one of the biggest talents of Russia in the combined events and the high jump. She finished 10th at the Cheboksary Russian Championships in the high jump but earned the silver at the Cheboksary Russian U20 Championships and Chelyabinsk Russian U20 Indoor Championships, as well as the bronze at the Necheukhin Memorial in Chelyabinsk. In the combined events, she earned the gold at the Sochi Russian U20 Combined Events Cup and Sochi Russian U20 CE Team Championships in the heptathlon, as well as the silver at the St Petersburg Russian U20 Indoor Combined Events Championships in pentathlon.

In 2023, Polina Parfenenko earned her first national medal, winning the bronze at the Moscow Russian Indoor Championships in the high jump with a personal best of 1.91m.
