Marta Giaele Giovannini is an Italian track and field athlete, who competes in the women’s Heptathlon, Pentathlon, Long jump, High Jump, and 100m. She is a five-time national champion in Pentathlon and five-time national champion in Heptathlon, having her personal top results of 5504p in Heptathlon and 4068p in Pentathlon.
Marta Giaele Giovannini was born on October 2, 2001. She was introduced to athletics from an early age and competed in various combined events. her main discipline is Pentathlon but also competes in Heptathlon.
Marta Giaele Giovannini first appeared in official events in 2017, she won the gold at the Firenze meeting in the long jump and was second in the high jump. She was second at the Agropoli Italian U18 Club Championships in 400m and 100mhurdles and also at the Campi Bisenzio meeting in 100m hurdles. She also took part at the Padova Italian Indoor U18 Combined Events Championships in Pentathlon and Rieti Italian U18 Championships in Heptathlon.
In 2018, she was second at the Mantova meeting in Heptathlon but won the silver honors at the Firenze and Modena U18 Events in the long jump. Her biggest achievement for the season, however, was the gold at the Genova U18 Events in the 100m hurdles.
Marta Giaele Giovannini finished second at the 2019 Italian U20 Combined Events Championships in Heptathlon and third at the 2016 Indoor Meeting, Padova in Pentathlon. She finished 8th at the Italian U20 Indoor Championships in the long jump but won the Grand Prix Fidal Toscana Estate #7, Regional U20 Championships, and Campionati Toscani Assoluti e Promesse in the same discipline.
In 2020, Marta Giaele Giovannini won the Italian U20 Championships in Heptathlon and the Italian U23 Indoor Combined Events Championships in Pentathlon. She finished second at the International U20 Match in Minsk, Belarus, in Pentathlon. She was second at the Caccia al Minimo Indoor meeting and won the Regional Outdoor Meeting in the long jump.
In 2021, Marta Giaele Giovannini proved to be the Italian top competitor in combined events. She won again the Italian Indoor Championships and the Italian U23 Indoor Combined Events Championships in Pentathlon and Italian Championships and the Italian U23 Combined Events Championships in Heptathlon. She won the silver at the Meeting di Prove Multiple and participated at the European Athletics U23 Championships in Heptathlon.
Marta Giaele Giovannini continues being the top athlete for Italy in 2022, defending her titles at the Italian U23 Championships and Italian Championships in Heptathlon, as well as the Italian U23 Indoor Combined Events Championships in Pentathlon. She finished second at the Italian Indoor Championships in Pentathlon.
