Denisa Pesova is a Czech track and field athlete, who competes in the high jump. She is a two-time national champion with a personal best of 1.88m outdoor and 1.85m indoor.
Denisa Pesova was born on May 4, 2001, in the Czech Republic. She started training athletics at an early age with her biggest dream to become a high jumper. She showed great skills and has plenty of honors in local junior championships.
Denisa Pesova started her competitive career in 2015, competing at the Ostrava Czech Club Championships, where finished 10th.
In 2017, she finished 7th at the Praha Czech Indoor Championships but won the bronze at the Essing U20 Hochsprungmeeting. During the season she jumped 1.73m at the Hustopece High Jump U20 Meeting, but finished 4th.
In 2019, Denisa Pesova started the indoor season by winning the gold at the Praha Olympcup and continued with the bronze at the Hustopeče High Jump U18 Meeting. She debuted at the national championship, finishing 4th at the Praha Czech Indoor Championships, and won the gold at the Ostrava Czech U18 Indoor Championships. During the outdoor season, Denisa Pesova won the silver at the Kolín Czech Club Championships, the bronze at the Aschheim U18 Hochsprungmeeting, as well as the gold at the Jablonec nad Nisou Czech Club Championships.
Denisa Pesova continued competing at the top level in 2019, winning the silver at the Praha Czech U20 Indoor Championships, Praha, as well as the gold at the Hradec Kralove Czech Club Championships. She continued the season strongly, winning the bronze at the Praha Czech U23 Championships and the silver at the Olomouc Czech U20 Championships. She also competed at the Boras European U20 Championships but did not qualify for the finals.
The 2020 season was shorter, but Denisa Pesova won the gold at the Praha Regional Indoor Championships.
In 2021, she won her first national medal, winning the silver at the Ostrava Czech Indoor Championships, but finished 4th at the Zlín Czech Championships. She won the gold at the Plzen Mitink CAS and the silver at the Ostrava Mitink CAS, as well as the silver at the Praha Czech Club Championships and the gold at the Plzen Czech U23 Championships.
Denisa Pesova continue improving her results and form in 2022. She won another national silver at the Ostrava Czech Indoor Championships, but also the bronze at the Hodonin Czech Championships. She won the silver at the 2. kolo extraligy Plzen and the gold at the Hustopecske skakani.
In 2023, Denisa Pesova won the national titles at the Tabor Czech Championships and Ostrava Czech Indoor Championships. In both competitions, she set her personal bests. She finished 4th at the Espoo European Athletics U23 Championships but won silver at the Mityng Gwiazd na Rynku Kosciuszki and gold at the 2. kolo extraligy Plzen, as well as the gold at the Ostrava Czech U23 Championships.
