Airine Palsyte is a Lithuanian high jumper athlete. She won the gold medal at the 2017 European Indoor Championships.
Airine Palsyte was born on July 13, 1992, in Kaunas, Lithuania. She started in athletics at an early age and turned to high jumping at school. She is a silver medalist at the 2010 World Junior Championships and 2011 Universiade in Shenzhen, China. At the 2013 European U23 Championship, she finished 2nd, while at the 2015 Universiade in Gwangju, South Korea she won the gold.
Airine Palsyte finished second and won her first senior national championships medal at the 2008 Lithuanian Athletics Championships. At the 2010 Lithuanian Athletics Championships, she won her first national gold medal. During the same season, she debuted in the Diamond League, competing at the Stockholm DN Galan and finished 8th.
In 2012, she improved her best result at the Diamond League and completed all her three participations in 6th place. However, two years later, Airine Palsyte won her first medal at the Stockholm DN Galan, finishing second with 1.94m. In the next season, she won her first Diamond League tournament at Doha IAAF Diamond League with 1.94m.
Airine Palsyte competed at the London 2012, Rio 2016, and Tokyo 2020 Olympics. She won the silver medal at the 2016 European Championships. However, her biggest achievement was winning the gold medal at the 2017 European Indoor Championships and the bronze medal at the 2019 European Indoor Championships.
Airine Palsyte’s personal best is 2.01m, achieved in March 2017 when she won gold at the European Indoor Championships. It was also a new national high jump record. Her personal best outdoor jump is 1.98m, achieved in both July and August 2014 in Kaunas and Eberstadt.
Airine Palsyte is one of the most successful Lithuanian athletes and definitely one of the hottest athlete babes.
