Viktoriya Tkachuk is a Ukrainian athlete specializing in the 400m hurdles. She won the silver medal in the event at the 2022 European Athletics Championships. She represented Ukraine at the Rio 2016 Olympics without advancing from the semi-finals, and at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where she placed sixth in the final. Her personal best in the 400m hurdles is 53.76 seconds, set in 2021 in Zurich.
Viktoriya Viktorivna Tkachuk was born on November 8, 1994, in Plishchyn, Khmelnytskyi Oblast, Ukraine. She started in athletics from an early age. As a junior she took part in the 2012 World Junior Championships in Barcelona, Spain, finishing 4th in the 4×400 m relay and 23rd at 400m.
Viktoriya Tkachuk participated at the 2015 European U23 Championships in Tallinn, Estonia. She finished 5th at the 4×400 m relay and 9th at the individual 400m hurdles. The same year she represented Ukraine at the 2015 World Championships in Beijing, China, finishing 29th in the 400m hurdles.
In 2016, the Ukrainian athlete finished 9th in the 400m hurdles at the European Championships in Amsterdam, Netherlands. She also competed at the Rio 2016 Olympics but did not reach the final and finished 22nd at the 400m hurdles. During the season she has a bronze medal from the Lutsk Ukrainian Championships.
Viktoriya Tkachuk won the silver at Marseille Meeting International and Lutsk Ukranian Cup in 2017. She won the title at the Kropyvnytskiy Ukrainian Championships and Minsk meeting. During the year, she participated at the World Championships in London, United Kingdom, and finished 30th in the 400m hurdles.
In 2018, Viktoriya Tkachuk made a wonderful season, winning the gold at the Osaka Golden Grand Prix, Colmar Meeting National, Sopot Janusz Sidlo Memorial, and Antalya Gloria Cup. She also competed at the European Championships in Berlin, Germany, finishing 7th.
Viktoriya Tkachuk again won the Ukrainian Championships in 2020. She also finished second at the Gala dei Castelli.
In 2021, the Ukrainian athlete for the first time competed at the Diamond League. She won her first podium at the Bislett Games, finishing 3rd. During the season, she competed at Tokyo 2020 Olympics, finishing 6th in the 400m hurdles. She also won the gold at the LOTTO Silesia Memorial Kamili Skolimowskiej and Ukrainian Championships.
In 2022, she reached her first podium at a major event, winning the silver at the European Championships in Munich, Germany.
