Tilde Johansson

Tilde Johansson is a Swedish athlete, competing in several disciplines, but specializing in the long jump. She competed in 60m hurdles at the 2019 European Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow and the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha. She is the European U18 champion, European U20 champion, and silver medalist, as well as a four-time National Indoor champion. Her personal best in the long jump is 6.73m outdoors and 6.63m indoors.

Tilde Johansson was born on January 5, 2001, in Goteborg, Sweden. She started in athletics at an early age and showed her talent in sports.

Tilde Johansson started her competitive career in 2014, winning the long jump gold at the Goteborg Savedalsspelen U14 event, Halmstad Laxaspelen U14 event, Goteborg Julklappsjakten U15 event, as well as the triple jump gold at the Goteborg Varldsungdomsspelen U14 event and Goteborg Julklappsjakten U15 event.

In 2015, she started competing also in sprints, taking part at the Vaxjo U15 Best Western Games, Goteborg Varldsungdomsspelen U15 event, as well as several local competitions. In the long jump she dominated Goteborg Julklappsjakten and Goteborg Savedalsspelen U15 events, but also earned the silver at the Vaxjo U15 Best Western Games.

Tilde Johansson won her first junior national title in 2016, triumphing at the Uddevalla Swedish U16 Indoor Championships in 200m and long jump, as well as at the Vellinge Swedish U17 Championships in the long jump. She also won the gold at the Tampere Finnkampen U18, Goteborg Varldsungdomsspelen, and Halmstad Laxaspelen U16 events in the long jump.

In 2017, Tilde Johansson debuted at the national championships, competing at the Vaxjo Swedish Indoor Championships, and finished 5th in the long jump and 6th in 200m. In the long jump,he earned the bronze at the Gyor 14th European Youth Olympic Festival, as well as the gold at the Linkoping Swedish Club Championships. Meanwhile, she also earned the silver at the Kuortane Nordic U18 Combined Events Match in the heptathlon.

In 2018, Tilde Johansson won the gold at the Gyor European U18 Championships in the long jump.

In 2019, she won her first national titles at the Norrkoping Swedish Indoor Championships in 60m hurdles and the long jump. She also earned the silver at the Boras European U20 Championships in the long jump, and the gold in 100m hurdles. Tilde Johansson earned the long jump gold at the prestigious competitions Varberg GP and Folksam Grand Prix, as well as the silver at the Finnkampen in Stockholm. During the season, she also won the gold at the Swedish Indoor Combined Events Championships in the pentathlon. She competed at the Glasgow European Indoor Championships and Doha IAAF World Championships in Athletics.

Tilde Johansson had another strong season in 2020, winning the 60m hurdles gold, 60m silver, and long jump gold at the Goteborg Swedish U20 Indoor Championships. She earned another national title at the Vaxjo Swedish Indoor Championships in 60m hurdles and the bronze at the Uppsala Swedish Championships in the long jump. Meanwhile, during the season she earned the long jump silver at the Karlstad GP and Finnkampen in Tampere, as well as bronze at the Sparet GP.

In 2021, Tilde Johansson won the gold at the Goteborg Friidrott GP and the silver at the Karlstad GP in the long jump. She earned the bronze at the European Athletics Team Championships First League and debuted in the Diamond League at the Bislett Games, but finished 5th in the long jump. She also competed at the Paavo Nurmi Games and Sollentuna GP.

In 2022, Tilde Johansson specialized mostly in the long jump, winning the bronze at the Norrkoping Swedish Championships. She earned the gold at the Folksam GP and Nordic Indoor Match, the silver at the Soderhamn Gothenburg Athletics GP and Finnkampen in Helsinki, and bronze at the Karlstad GP, but also finished 4th at the Belgrade Indoor Meeting.

Tilde Johansson won the long jump silver at the Soderhamn Swedish Championships and the Finnkampen in Stockholm. She competed at the Diamond League’s BAUHAUS-Galan, the Espoo European Athletics U23 Championships, and the Chorzow European Athletics Team Championships First Division, remaining close to the medals zone.
