Robeilys Peinado is a Venezuelan athlete whose specialty is pole vaulting. She won the bronze medal at the 2017 World Championships in London, as well as two gold medals at the South American Championships in 2015 Lima and 2017 Asuncion. In addition, she won multiple medals in several age categories. Her personal best in the event is a 4.70m outdoor set in Cochabamba in 2018 and a 4.78m indoor set in Lievin, France in 2020, which are the current national record.

Robeilys Peinado was born on November 26, 1997, in Caracas, Venezuela. She started off as a gymnast but switched to pole vault aged 12 as she was getting too tall for the sport.

Robeilys Peinado started competing already in 2011 when she won her first gold medals at the local competition in Barquisimeto. A year later, she already won the Barquisimeto Venezuelan U16 Championships and Barinas Venezuelan U18 Championships, while in 2013 already competed internationally, winning gold at the Donetsk IAAF World Youth Championships and the Medellin Pan American Junior Championships, as well as bronze medals at the Mar del Plata GPS Justo Roman and Mar del Plata Grand Prix Sudamericano in Argentina, improving her personal best to 4.40m.

In 2014, Robeilys Peinado continued with her perfect performance, winning the silver medals at the Nanjing Youth Olympic Games and the Santiago de Chile South American Games, as well as the gold medals at the Montevideo South American U23 Championships and Cali South American U18 Championships. During the season, she again won the Barquisimeto Venezuelan Junior Championships, but also conquered the title at the Barquisimeto Venezuelan Championships and won the bronze at the prestigious Veracruz CAC Games.

Robeilys Peinado won titles at the Lima South American Championships, Edmonton Pan American Junior Championships, Cuenca South American Junior Championships, and Barinas Venezuelan Championships in 2015, but also competed at the Beijing IAAF World Championships and Toronto Pan American Games.

Robeilys Peinado qualified for the Rio 2016 Olympics, but a thumb injury, while she was training, prevented her from participating. During the season she won the gold at the Dakar IAAF World Challenge, the silver at Bydgoszcz IAAF World U20 Championships, and the bronze at Golden Spike Ostrava 2016.

At the 2017 World Championships in London, she won the bronze medal in pole vault, falling behind the Greek Katerina Stefanidi (gold), and the American Sandi Morris (silver), and tied with the Cuban Yarisley Silva, also bronze. During the season, Robeilys Peinado debuted at the Diamond League at the Birmingham Muller Grand Prix. She won the gold at the Santa Marta Juegos Bolivarianos and the Asuncion South American Championships, the silver at the Madrid Meeting 2017 and Montreuil-sous-Bois Meeting International, and the bronze at Golden Spike Ostrava 2017, Stockholm BAUHAUS Galan, and Hengelo FBK Games.

In 2018, Robeilys Peinado made her personal best outdoor of 4.70m at the Cochabamba South American Games, winning the gold. She continue competing in the Diamond League as well, but still failed to win a medal.

Robeilys Peinado won the silver at the Diamond League event Golden Gala – Pietro Mennea and competed also at the IAAF World Championships in Athletics in Doha. She also won the gold at the South American Championships in Lima during the season.

In 2020, she set her indoor personal best of 4.78m at the Meeting Hauts-de-France Pas-de-Calais, winning the silver. During the indoor season, she won the silver at the Meeting de l’Eure and the gold at the Czech Indoor Gala. The outdoor season was seriously shortened by the coronavirus pandemic and only a few events were held. She won the bronze at the Gala dei Castelli in Switzerland.

Robeilys Peinado competed at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, which were held in 2021. She finished 8th in the final with a result of 4.50m. She won the gold at the Spitzen Leichtathletik in Switzerland and Sollentuna GP in Sweden.

In 2022, Robeilys Peinado won the gold at the South American Games, while in 2023 won the Venezuelan Championships.
